5 Reasons Not to Wait to Hire a Video Producer
You may think producing videos isn’t hard, and that you can easily do them with your in-house marketing team. While some companies are successful at DIY video production, the majority of them find out the hard way that it’s not quite as straightforward as they originally anticipated. Hi! I’m Guy Cirinelli! And welcome to The Corporate Film Guys! Here are five reasons to get a professional corporate video producer involved right from the start. Number one - planning and creative development! Creating a compelling video campaign takes a lot more than just writing a script and hitting record. If you want the results of your video campaign to match your customers’ expectations, you need a qualified team that can effectively plan and carry out your video strategy. Number two - expertise and industry know-how! You’re an expert at what you do, but chances are you’re not an expert at developing and implementing video marketing campaigns. As trained professionals with decades of experience, we already know what works and, more importantly, what doesn’t. What’s more, we stay ahead of the curve in terms of video technology and trends so you don’t have to. Number three - the best equipment! Even the most novice consumer can tell the difference between a professional film and an amateur production. You want your videos to represent the level of professionalism that you’ve worked hard to establish for your business. Otherwise, the message you convey will not only miss the mark, but could potentially paint your company in a less-than-flattering light. Number four - storytelling! Do you have the skills or expertise to bring your brand message to life through effective storytelling? If not, you’re not alone. But if you’re trying to produce your own video content and hoping it reaches and resonates with the right audience, you’ll probably find yourself off track. Number five - savings! Working with a video production company can actually save you money in the long run. When you consider everything that goes into producing a quality video, it becomes much clearer. For instance, DIY films require a ton of man hours, not to mention all the equipment you’ll have to purchase - equipment that could easily become obsolete by this time next year. Create a Big Impact Without a Big Budget
Think you need a big-brand budget in order to produce a corporate video? Think again. In fact, thanks to technology, the cost of producing a decent quality video is lower than ever before. Hi! I’m Guy Cirinelli! And welcome to The Corporate Film Guys! If you’re interested in leveraging video but don’t have much capital to work with, here are five low-cost ideas that might be worth trying. Number one - give your customers an “inside look”! Interview some employees, demonstrate how your product is made or used, or show what “a day in the life” is like behind the scenes at your company. This will create a stronger bond and generate more brand loyalty. Number two - do some explaining! You probably have a list of Frequently Asked Questions on your website. Bring that information to life by answering some of your customers’ most common concerns and put their minds at ease. Number three - put the spotlight on your customers! Not sure what to say? Why not let your customers do some of the talking for you? Video tape some customer testimonials to showcase on your site and share on social media. Or, run a contest and ask your customers to submit their best videos. Number four - go live! Thanks to things like Facebook Live and other live social streaming options, you can now bring your message directly to your customers and reach them wherever they are. Now that’s powerful! Number five - appeal to shorter attention spans! Humans have an attention span of about 9 seconds. Businesses can appeal to this by creating really short, easily consumable - and highly shareable - video content. These short videos could help communicate your message quickly while engaging with your audience. If you would like more information or a free consultation, just give us a call! How Much Does a Corporate Video Cost
Hi. I'm Guy Cirinelli and welcome to The Corporate Film Guys. As a key decision maker, a big part of your job is keeping costs down as much as possible. That can be tough if you don’t fully understand everything that goes into producing the end product. This is sometimes the case with corporate video, especially if there’s no set price. The cost will ultimately depend on a number of factors, which can make shopping for video services frustrating. Here are a few things that may be a factor when calculating the cost of your video project. Number one. How many people will be featured in your video? If you’re looking to feature multiple interviews, keep in mind that doing so will take more time to shoot, log and edit. Number two. How many different locations? If the video crew has to travel to multiple places, you’ll have to factor in the time it takes to travel and set up for those additional locations. Number three. How long is the final video? The length of your video will also play a role in how much its production will end up costing. The more footage being shot eats up more hours, both in filming as well as editing. Number four. The more extravagant you want your video to be, the higher the price tag is going to go. For instance, adding lots of graphics or animations will require a decent amount of editing time. This knowledge can help you plan better so that the video you end up with effectively tells your story without breaking the bank. How to Write a Great Corporate Video Script
You already know the benefits of investing in corporate video, but it’s important to understand there’s a right way and a wrong way to approach these projects. Hi! I’m Guy Cirinelli! And welcome to The Corporate Film Guys! Here are the five golden rules of script writing that’ll ensure the positive outcomes you’re looking for. Number one - know your audience! Before launching any type of video campaign, you gotta take the time to define your audience. This will allow you to craft your message so that it resonates with those who are most likely to be interested in what you’re offering. Number two - make a connection! Use storytelling to give your audience something they’ll truly remember. It’s about making those important connections first. From there, the selling will naturally fall into place. Number three - show, don’t tell! Video allows you to convey a great deal of information quickly. Leverage the power of visuals to show your viewers rather than just telling them what you want them to know. Number four - make it about them, not you! Most people don’t care about your company history. They care about how working with you will impact them personally. When developing content for your videos, be sure it is done in a way that your audience will be able to relate. Number five - show them the real you! Video allows you to delve deeper and show a more human side of your brand. When people have the opportunity to learn more about who you are, what you believe in and what truly matters to you, it will help differentiate you from the competition. Of course, knowing these tips and actually executing them are two different things. If you would like more information or a free consultation, just give us a call! The Power of Short Form Videos
Video remains one of the most powerful and effective ways to draw in and engage your audience. One of the most impactful types of video is short form. Hi! I’m Guy Cirinelli! And welcome to The Corporate Film Guys! Let’s take a closer look at what short form video’s all about and the best way to start using it for your brand. Short form videos are videos that last anywhere from just a few seconds to a minute. Simply put, shorter content is better at capturing the attention of your audience and, more importantly, holding their attention throughout the process. Here’s how to leverage the power of short form video for your company. Number one - focus on catching their eye quickly! For a short form video to be successful, you have to first grab the attention of your viewers. The challenge is that you have mere seconds to do so. So, focus on those first precious seconds and use bold, compelling messages and imagery to reel them in. Number two - keep it short and sweet! It sort of goes without saying, but when it comes to short form video, the shorter the better. The human attention span is getting shorter and shorter. So, marketers should be careful to meet that demand with shorter, more focused videos. Number three - edit them for social viewing! Auto-playing videos on social media has presented a new challenge: the silent video. Creating videos that work with our without audio is becoming more important. For best results, consider adding text, whether it’s with captions, subtitles or text overlay. Number four - optimize for mobile! Short form video is ideal for mobile viewing because it addresses users that are on the go and often short on time. If you would like more information or a free consultation, just give us a call! What to Know Before Hiring a Video Production Company
You’re ready for your next corporate video, but you’re not sure where to start. The good news is, as long as you do your homework, you can save yourself a lot of headaches. Hi. I’m Guy Cirinelli with The Corporate Film Guys. Here are five things you should ask before you decide on a video production company. Number One. Who Have They Worked With? Before you contact a video production company, check out their portfolio and demo reel to make sure they have the experience to handle your project. Ask them to show you any samples that align with what you’re looking for. They’ll be happy to show you other projects they weren’t able to include in their reel. Number Two. How Much Experience Do They Have? Find a seasoned team that specializes in corporate videos and ask for testimonials so you can get an unbiased review of the video production company’s work quality and how they overcame any obstacles that arose. Number Three. Do They Share Your Creative Vision? Video production is an art form. While you may envision your corporate video a certain way, the production company could take it in a totally different direction. There’s nothing more frustrating than working with a team that doesn’t share your creative vision, so when you’re looking at the demo reels, look for styles and creative approaches that match yours. Number Four. Are They The Right Fit? Finding the right fit for your company is crucial to the success of the production. If there’s great chemistry between you and their team, the project will be much more enjoyable to manage and will also progress more quickly because everyone's on the same page. Number Five. How Much Do They Charge For Changes And Overages. A company can quote you a great price, but you should always find out how they charge for changes and overages. These two factors are common, but can also rack up easily if the project was started without enough preparation. Again, this is why it’s so important to do your research and crosscheck the company’s experience. The bottom line is, if you don’t want headaches during the production, do your research. Request proposals to get a feel for how the company works, and how much they pay attention to detail. Your company image is on the line. What Should I Wear on Camera
Hi. I'm Guy Cirinelli and welcome to The Corporate Film Guys. Let's talk about what to wear on-camera for your corporate video. First, what colors should you avoid? Although today's cameras can handle dramatic colors much better than a few years ago, it's still a good idea to stay away from clothes with large areas of black, white or red. Black is a dramatic and harsh color and creates a lot of contrast. White reflects light back into the camera - creating a glow which could become distracting. Some cameras have a hard time processing red; so it can get distorted which creates a fuzzy glow on screen. Other things to avoid are fine or busy patterns in your clothes. Sometimes these patterns create a vibrating moire effect where the lines look like they're moving or crawling. Now let's talk about what works best on-camera. You can't go wrong with solid colors, earth tones and pastels. If you are wearing a suit, gray and navy work very well. A blue shirt always looks great. Green is good - except when shooting against a green-screen. And red does work well as an accent color - for a tie or a scarf. A good idea when going in for a shoot is to bring a few different choices of shirts, jackets and pants. That way you could pick what works best in that particular location and lighting. Oh, and one other thing. Makeup is very important - even on men. Makeup should be used in moderation, but at a minimum you should powder your nose, forehead and face to avoid looking shiny.
